QI DONG TOBACCO COMPANY, From the year 1938, fashionably dressed model in a splendid flowered cheongsam, waves upon arrival at the airport, with great vintage 30's airplane behind her. This trendy looking number was put out to sell 'Ruby Queen', 'Victory' and 'Pirate' Brands of cigarettes. Artist: Geng Ye.

THE T.C. WILLIAMS TOBACCO COMPANY, Victory Brand Cigarettes were hugely popular amongst British subjects living in Shanghai during the nineteen-thirties. For some unknown reason, the headlines of the ads aimed at the Chinese market were changed to read "Goddess Brand", as in Goddess of Victory, perhaps to lend a certain mythological air to the product.
